Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 2002 under the aegis of VN Gangadhara Panicker Memorial Trust. It is a private, self-financed college which is situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The college has been affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. It has been recognised by UGC and has also been approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It is also accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade as well as ISO. The Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology is a pioneer in both innovation and research. It is clear from the college's infrastructure, extracurricular activities, and national and international relationships that emphasis is placed on activities outside of the classroom.
The MCET Trivandrum courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate as well as postgraduate levels. There are a total of 20 courses offered to students in the stream of engineering, technology and management. All the courses at the college are offered in offline, regular mode to the students. The BHMCT course is offered by the college in association with South Park IHM. The Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology admission to all the courses is offered on the basis of the candidate's performance in the respective entrance exam as well as the last qualifying exam. KEAM (for B.Tech course), GATE/KEAM (for M.Tech course), and KMAT/CMAT (for MBA and MCA course) are some of the entrance exams that are accepted by the college for admission.
The MCET Trivandrum campus, which is spread out over an area of 37 acres, offers students with facilities like a gymnasium, boys' and girls' hostels, laboratories, a sports complex, transportation services, banking facilities, a full-fledged library, a canteen and others. The college also has a distinct placement cell for all the activities related to placement. The Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology placement cell and the participating recruiters hold placement drives every year to give students the chance to start their careers before even completing their education. The college often hosts a range of events, such as webinars, seminars, pre-placement interviews, training sessions, and more, and has a history of consistently providing candidates. Some of the major participating recruiters in the placement drive are Sutherland, UST Global, Pivot Systems, Bibox and more.

Interested individuals can enrol for the Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Engineering, technology, hotel management, and management courses are all available at MCET. The institute provides interested individuals with a total of 20 courses in a traditional, offline format. The B.Tech. and BHMCT programmes at Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology last 4 years (3 years for lateral entry into the B.Tech. programme), while the M.Tech., MBA, and MCA programmes last 2 years.
